Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is a Spanish flamenco singer and pop artist. As a teenager she was involved both in traditional and popular music. But, her music interests have widened to include soul, hip-hop and hip-hop. Her voice has been described by no less an artist than the flamenco musician Pepe Habichuela as sharp and sweet but with a bite like the old ones. El Mal Querer gained her notoriety and commercial success when her debut album Los Angeles was released in 2017. The album earned it an award called the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Motomami the third album by her, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. The release date was March 20, 2022, after the show of Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia became the first Spanish singer to perform solo on the show. As well as winning three other Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia, she also became the first female to be awarded the Latin Album of the Year twice.
